The Combined Probus Club of Manningham Inc warmly invites you to attend our club meetings. We are sure you will find our members welcoming and friendly. Our purpose is to enjoy friendship, fellowship and fun in retirement.
Each monthly meeting is followed by morning tea and a guest speaker from a wide variety of organisations/interest groups.
We have a colourful monthly newsletter, outlining the various Club activities with photographs showing members enjoying themselves.
There are many activities that invite your involvement:
- Monthly Evening Dine-outs to various local restaurants enjoyed by many members
- Lunch at local venues following the monthly meeting and guest speaker
- Theatre outings to the latest shows (amateur/professional)
- Day outings (either self-drive or bus) to various places of interest, followed by a lunch
- Monthly local Cinema visit (can include light lunch)
- Barbeques at a local park during summer daylight saving time
- Monthly Coffee & Cake at local cafes
- Walking group – fortnightly walks at various venues, followed by morning tea or sometimes lunch
- Bi-Monthly Happy Hour & a Half – opportunity for a get together
- Tours – either intra or interstate
- Cycling group
- Puzzle, DVD/VCR and book swap – borrow, donate or swap.
PROBUS is an association for senior members of the community and for those no longer working full time, to join together for a new lease on life. Probus provides regular opportunities to progress healthy minds and active bodies through social interaction and activities, expand interests and to enjoy the fellowship of new friends.
Remember – RETIREMENT! – Everybody’s doing it, but Manningham Combined Probus members do it better! Only one way to find out. Come along to one of our meetings, you’d be very welcome!
