TRIP TO BATEMAN’S BAY.

MAY 1st to MAY 6TH. 2023.

We left for the trip around 7am, we had 27 people aboard. We stopped at Beechworth for lunch, and looked at town, Pat drove us to Yackandandah where we walked around looking at the shops. The colors of the trees were really beautiful. We stopped at the Albury Motel for the night had a lovely dinner and our rooms were excellent. Some people got 4 posters. The next morning we went to Canberra for lunch then on to Batehaven where we stayed for 3 nights. The Mogo Zoo was enjoyable, lots to see, the Mere Cats were entertaining, we stopped at the Mogo Township then on to Bateman’s Bay for lunch. We then went through the Murramarang National Park to Cookies Beach, the sun was shining it was a lovely day. The color of the rocks there were unusual. On Day 4 we headed for Huskisson, on Jervis Bay where we went on a boat cruise to see the Bottlenose dolphins, we saw lots of these, lots of photo’s taken. We had lunch there then headed for Mollymook Beach where we went for a walk along the beach. Day 5 we left for Lakes Entrance, stopping at Na-rooma for Morning Tea. Lunch at Merimbula, we were still lucky the sun was still shining. We settled in to the Esplanade Mo-tel and had an excellent dinner in the dining room. Day 6. Unfortunately we had to go home, it had rained in the evening and the rain followed us most of the way home. We stopped at Bairnsdale and looked at StMary’s Catholic Church and the paintings. Back home at 3pm. Although we were from 3 different places, we all mixed well and enjoyed everyone’s compa-ny. It was a good trip. Greta Lancaster.

EERN Donations Tuesday 26 June 2018

Members of Manningham Combined Probus Club assembling donations of non perishables goods such as foodstuffs, cleaning products and personal care items for Eastern Emergency Relief Centre (EERN) in Mitcham.  Our Club has chosen to make this an annual event – we look like having an increase in the number of goods collected for donation this year!   EERN is a welfare organization that  distributes donated items of household furniture and non perishable goods via local welfare agencies to families in need.

Report on our recent walk in Port Melbourne on 10th November

Starting with morning tea at Rosalie and Trevor’s place which looks right down the shipping channel of Port Melbourne and you can sit on the balcony and watch the ships come and go.  Rosalie went to a lot of effort cooking delicious food for us all leaving us all very contented before walking it off.
From there we had a good walk along the front at Port Melbourne and on to the Gasworks for lunch at Priscilla Jones.
A lovely day was had by all.
thank you, Heather
